Microsoft Teams AI Integration
ANSWERS INTHE CHANNEL,WITH SOURCES
We build AI assistants that live inside Microsoft Teams, where your staff already work, answering questions from company documents and systems with sources shown and each person's own permissions respected.
Staff should not have to leave a conversation to find a policy, a figure or a status that the company already holds somewhere.
An AI assistant where your teams already talk
- 01Answers in Teams
- 02Permissions respected
- 03Sources shown
Microsoft Teams AI integration puts an assistant into chats and channels. A member of staff asks a question in plain language, and the assistant retrieves the relevant passages from approved sources, answers with links to them and declines when the sources do not cover the question. It can also start defined tasks, such as raising a request, behind a confirmation step. It signs users in with their Microsoft Entra identity.
It suits organizations that run on Microsoft 365 and want answers without another application to open. Microsoft also sells Copilot, which should be evaluated first for general use. A custom assistant is justified when answers must come from your own systems, follow your own rules or use a model you choose. Microsoft has archived its older Bot Framework SDK, so we build on the SDKs its documentation now recommends.

What It Looks Like When It Ships
From Kickoff to Launch
We pick one group of staff and the questions they really ask, collect real examples with correct answers, and confirm that Copilot or an existing tool does not already cover the need.
Documents and systems in scope are listed with their owners, outdated versions are removed, and permissions are checked at the source before the assistant is allowed to read anything.
The assistant is built and installed for a pilot group in your tenant, and its answers are scored against the test set until the agreed level is reached.
Your administrators publish the app to chosen departments, staff are shown what it can and cannot answer, and usage, feedback and costs are reviewed with us regularly.

What buyers ask before they start
If yours is not here, ask us directly. The first conversation is free and useful whether or not we work together.
Book a callEvaluate it first. Copilot works across Microsoft 365 with your existing permissions and may be all you need for documents, mail and meetings. A custom assistant earns its cost when answers must draw on systems outside Microsoft 365, when you need your own rules and refusals, or when licensing every user does not suit you. We give you an honest comparison for your case.
Users sign in with their Microsoft Entra work account, and the assistant retrieves content on their behalf, so it can only reach what they may already open. Where a source cannot enforce this itself, the assistant applies the user's access before any passage reaches the model. We ask people without access to test it by requesting restricted material before launch.
Microsoft has archived the Bot Framework SDK and its documentation now directs new work to the Microsoft 365 Agents SDK, with the Teams SDK for agents that live only in Teams. We follow that guidance and check it again at the start of each project, since Microsoft's developer tools in this area have been renamed and replaced more than once.
The question and the retrieved passages are sent to the language model for processing. With a model hosted in your own Azure subscription, that stays within the Microsoft services you already use. With another provider, it leaves under that provider's terms. We document the flow, exclude sources that must not be sent and review it with your security and data protection leads.
Your Microsoft 365 administrators. We provide the app package and an admin guide, and they decide which users or departments receive it through the Teams admin centre, under your own policies. The assistant's service runs in a subscription you control. Nothing is published to the public Teams store unless you ask for a product that other organizations install.
