Client Portal Development
We build secure portals where your customers sign in to see their projects, documents, requests and invoices, connected to the systems your team already uses to run the work.
A portal earns its place when customers stop emailing to ask where things stand, because the answer is already on their screen.
One signed-in place for every customer account
- 01Role-based access
- 02Document exchange
- 03Request tracking
A client portal gives each customer an account where they can follow work in progress, exchange files, approve steps, raise requests and review invoices. We build the web application, the permissions model behind it and the connections to your CRM, project, finance and storage tools, so the portal shows live information instead of copies someone has to update.
It fits companies that serve many accounts through email threads, shared folders and status calls. Off-the-shelf portals work when your process is standard. A custom portal becomes worthwhile when your service has its own stages, documents and approvals, or when the portal is part of what customers pay for. We start with the few journeys that remove the most back-and-forth.

What It Looks Like When It Ships
From Kickoff to Launch
We list the questions customers ask most, follow one account from signing to delivery, and choose the first journeys the portal should handle, such as status, documents and approvals.
The data model and the roles matrix are written down, then a clickable prototype is tested with a few staff members and, where possible, a friendly customer.
We build the portal, connect it to your CRM, storage and finance tools, and test with real accounts in a staging environment, including the cases where data is missing or late.
A small group of customers is invited first. Their questions shape the final wording and notifications, then remaining accounts are onboarded in batches with your team trained to support them.

What buyers ask before they start
If yours is not here, ask us directly. The first conversation is free and useful whether or not we work together.
Book a callBuy when your service follows a common pattern and a product covers it without workarounds. Build when the portal must reflect stages, documents or rules that are specific to your business, when it has to draw on several internal systems, or when it carries your brand as part of the service. We will tell you honestly if a product is the better fit.
Access rules are enforced on the server for every request, not only hidden in the interface. Each record belongs to an organization, each user belongs to one or more organizations with a role, and automated tests try to read data across accounts. We also log access, support single sign-on and two-factor authentication, and review permissions with you before launch.
Yes, that is usually where the value comes from. We connect through the APIs of your CRM, project management, accounting, storage and e-signature tools, or through a database or file exchange when no API exists. For each connection we agree which system owns the data, how often it syncs and what the portal shows when a source is unavailable.
They use it when it answers their questions faster than email. That is why we begin with the journeys they ask about most, keep sign-in simple, send notifications that link straight to the relevant page and make the portal work well on a phone. A pilot with a few accounts shows what to adjust before everyone is invited.
You receive the complete source code, the database schema, the infrastructure configuration, documentation and access to every repository and environment. The portal runs in cloud accounts under your control. Your own developers or another partner can maintain it, and we remain available for further work if you want us to continue.
