Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration
WEB ORDERS,STRAIGHTINTOYOUR ERP
We connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Business Central to your custom applications and online stores, through supported APIs your IT team can audit.
Dynamics is the record your finance and operations teams trust, so anything that writes to it should be as accountable as a named employee.
Dynamics 365 connected to apps and stores
- 01Entra ID sign-in
- 02Supported APIs only
- 03Business Central stores
Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration links the Dynamics applications to software outside the Microsoft estate. For the customer engagement apps we use the Dataverse Web API. For finance and supply chain we use its data entities and business events. For Business Central we use its standard and custom API pages. A service between the systems maps records, queues them and retries, authenticated through Microsoft Entra ID.
It suits companies whose web store, customer portal or field application needs items, prices, customers and order status from Dynamics, and must send orders or cases back. Dynamics 365 is a family of products with different data models and interfaces, so the first task is establishing which ones you run, in the cloud or on your own servers, and what your partner has customized.

What It Looks Like When It Ships
From Kickoff to Launch
We establish which Dynamics products and versions you run, where they are hosted, what extensions exist and who, among IT and your Dynamics partner, approves changes.
Mapping, ownership, identity setup and any custom API pages or entities that are needed are documented, then reviewed with IT and your Dynamics partner before development begins.
Development targets a sandbox environment holding a copy of your configuration, and the tests cover pricing rules, partial shipments, credit limits, returns and deliberate failure cases.
The integration moves to production through your own change process, runs beside the manual method for a short time and is then handed over with monitoring and documentation.
Built for Teams Like Yours
What buyers ask before they start
If yours is not here, ask us directly. The first conversation is free and useful whether or not we work together.
Book a callAn administrator registers an application in Microsoft Entra ID and grants it access in Dynamics, as an application user with a security role in Dataverse or with permission sets in Business Central. Microsoft sets API limits and licensing rules for automated access, which vary by product and change over time. We confirm the current position with your Microsoft partner and document it before development begins.
Yes. Items, prices, customer-specific discounts and inventory flow from Business Central to the store, and web orders are created as sales orders with their lines, shipping and payment reference. Shipment and invoice status return to the customer's account. Microsoft includes its own Shopify connector with Business Central, which suits standard cases. We build custom integration for other storefronts or needs it does not cover.
Yes, with attention to the network. Older on-premises versions of Dynamics NAV, Business Central and Dynamics AX expose web services that still work, though with fewer features than the cloud APIs. The integration service needs a secure route to them, usually a private connection or a gateway your IT team controls. We assess the version and interfaces first, since they determine what is practical.
Alongside them. Your partner knows the configuration and owns changes inside Dynamics, such as a custom API page or a new field. We build the service outside it and the application or store on the other end. A shared design document keeps responsibilities clear, and the partner reviews anything that touches posting, numbering or security before it goes live.
For simple notifications and approvals it is a good choice, and your team can maintain it. It becomes harder to manage for high volumes, complex mapping, strict ordering and detailed error recovery, and it carries its own licensing. Many organizations use both. Power Automate handles lightweight tasks and a dedicated service carries orders, stock and financial documents.
