Slack AI Assistant Integration
ASK ITIN THETHREAD,SEE SOURCES
We build custom AI assistants for your Slack workspace, answering staff questions from your own documents and systems, showing where each answer came from and carrying out defined actions once a person approves.
The fastest answer inside a company usually comes from asking a colleague in Slack, which works well until that colleague is the bottleneck.
A custom AI assistant inside your Slack workspace
- 01Answers in Slack
- 02Your own sources
- 03Actions approved
Slack AI assistant integration adds an app to your workspace that staff can message directly or mention in a channel. It looks up the relevant passages in sources you approve, answers in the thread with links to them and says so when it does not know. It can also run defined actions in other systems, such as creating a ticket, after showing the user what it is about to do.
It suits teams that already live in Slack and keep answering the same internal questions. Slack sells its own AI features, which summarize and search conversations and are worth trying first. A custom assistant is justified when answers must come from systems outside Slack or follow your own rules. Built as an internal app for your own workspace, it also avoids the lower limits Slack documents for unlisted commercial apps.

What It Looks Like When It Ships
From Kickoff to Launch
We choose one team and gather the questions they ask most in Slack, with the correct answers and where those live, and check that Slack's own features do not already serve.
The documents and systems behind those answers are listed with owners, cleaned of old versions and connected with access rules that are confirmed by your security lead.
The app is created in your workspace, installed for a pilot channel, and scored against the test questions until its answers reach the level you agreed.
More teams and sources are added one at a time, actions are introduced behind confirmation, and usage, feedback and model costs are reviewed with you on a schedule.

What buyers ask before they start
If yours is not here, ask us directly. The first conversation is free and useful whether or not we work together.
Book a callSlack's built-in AI summarizes channels, threads and huddles and searches what is in Slack. It is the natural first thing to try. A custom assistant answers from sources outside Slack, such as your wiki, ticket system or ERP, applies your own rules about what to answer, and can take actions in those systems. Many companies end up using both for different jobs.
No. A Slack app sees only what its granted scopes and channel memberships allow. We request the narrowest scopes that the use needs, and the assistant reads a channel only after someone adds it there. Your workspace administrators approve the installation and can review or remove it at any time. Private channels and direct messages between people stay out of reach.
Slack's documentation describes reduced limits on reading message history for commercially distributed apps that are not listed in its Marketplace, and says internal apps built for a company's own workspace are not affected by that change. We build your assistant as an internal app. It also relies mainly on your own sources, not on reading large volumes of Slack history.
The one that suits your requirements for quality, cost, speed and data handling. We keep the model behind an interface of our own, so it can be changed without rebuilding the assistant, and we test any candidate against your real questions before switching. Provider terms on retention and training are reviewed with your security lead before any company data is sent.
Users can flag it in the thread, and flagged answers are reviewed on a regular schedule. Most wrong answers trace back to a missing or outdated document, which is fixed at the source and added to the test set so the failure cannot return unnoticed. Because every answer shows its sources, staff can also check a claim themselves before acting on it.
