AI Marketing Reporting Agent Development
One report across your channels
An agent that writes the marketing report nobody enjoys assembling.
An agent that writes the marketing report nobody enjoys assembling. It combines the data from your channels, reconciles the definitions, explains what changed since last period and why, and says plainly where the numbers are uncertain.
The monthly report takes two days. Figures are exported from six tools, pasted into slides, and the commentary is written at midnight. Half the numbers are not comparable, because each tool defines a conversion differently. The meeting then discusses whether the numbers are right, not what to do about them. By the time everyone agrees on the data, the month it described is long over.
This page describes a workflow we propose to build as a custom project. It does not exist as software yet. It would reuse the evidence-first reporting from our demonstrations, where results are counted as what they are. Connections to marketing and analytics tools, metric reconciliation and the report itself are not built.
How One Request Moves Through
An example of one case, in 6 steps. The same steps play in the picture at the top of this page.
Period ends
On the first working day the agent collects last month's figures from every source.
Figures reconciled
The advertising platforms report more enquiries than the CRM received. Both numbers are shown.
Change explained
Organic visits fell. The fall starts on the day a section of the site was restructured.
Summary written
The commentary covers what improved, what declined and what is unexplained.
Reviewed
The marketing lead corrects one interpretation and adds context about a trade show.
Delivered
The report goes to leadership on the third day, in the usual format.
Where the Time Goes Now
Two days of copy and paste
Skilled people spend their time moving numbers between tools.
Definitions that disagree
Each platform counts a conversion its own way.
Numbers without a story
A table of figures with no explanation of what changed.
Flattering selection
The report shows the metrics that went up.
Totals that double count
Two channels both claim the same customer.
Late by design
The report arrives when the month can no longer be influenced.
Six jobs it carries through
01Data collection
Pulls the figures from each source.
- Web analytics, advertising, email, social and CRM
- On your reporting schedule
- With each source's own definitions recorded
- A note when a source failed
02Reconciliation
Makes numbers comparable.
- Maps each metric to your definition
- Shows where sources disagree
- Uses your sales data as the reference
- Avoids adding figures that overlap
03Change explanation
Says what changed and why it probably did.
- Compares like with like
- Separates seasonality you define
- Links changes to known actions
- Marks causes as likely or unknown
04Honest summary
Writes the commentary.
- What went well and what did not
- In plain language
- The same metrics every period
- No selective highlights
05Next-step proposals
Suggests what to look at next.
- Based on what changed
- With the evidence behind each
- Clearly marked as suggestions
- Left for the team to decide
06Delivery
Sends the report where it is read.
- Your template and format
- On a fixed day
- With links to the underlying data
- Open questions listed
What We Need to Scope This
- The process as it runs today, in a few lines.
- The systems it touches, for example analytics, advertising, email and social, CRM and sales.
- Rough monthly volume, and who approves what.
The Same Metrics Every Period, Including the Bad Ones
A report is useful only if it cannot be flattered. The agent reports a fixed set of metrics you agreed in advance, in the same order every period, and gives a decline the same space as an increase. Where two sources disagree, it shows both.
It explains change where the evidence supports an explanation and says "unknown" where it does not. A person reviews the report before it is sent.
- Read access only
- Fixed metrics, agreed in advance
- Disagreements shown side by side
- Causes marked likely or unknown
- Suggestions kept apart from findings
- Reviewed before it is sent
Where It Connects
The systems named here are the kind this agent works with. Which ones it connects to in your case is settled in the scope.
Analytics
- Google Analytics
- your web analytics tool
Advertising
- Google Ads
- Meta
Email and social
- Your email and social platforms
CRM and sales
- Enquiries, deals and orders
Definitions
- Your agreed metric definitions
Report
- Your slide or document template
Asked Before the First Call
How is this different from a dashboard?
A dashboard shows numbers and leaves the reading to you. This agent writes the reading: what changed, what probably caused it, where the sources disagree and what is unexplained. It can feed a dashboard, but its product is the explanation.
How is this different from the advertising analysis agent?
Advertising analysis goes deep into paid campaigns and proposes tests. This agent covers every channel at report level and reconciles them against sales. It tells leadership what happened. The advertising agent tells the specialist what to try.
How is this different from the business data analyst agent?
The data analyst answers any question asked of governed company data. This agent produces one recurring report for marketing, with fixed metrics and a fixed day. It is narrower and needs no question to start.
What exists today?
Not as software yet. This page describes a proposed workflow. It would reuse the evidence-first reporting from our demonstrations, where results are counted as what they are. Connections to marketing and analytics tools, metric reconciliation and the report itself are not built. A project starts by mapping your process, then proving the first steps on test data before anything touches a live system.

We will list where its figures came from, where two sources would have disagreed and how long it took to build.
