AI Logistics Quoting and Shipment Agent Development
Quotes and tracking from your own rates
An agent for a freight or courier desk.
An agent for a freight or courier desk. It collects everything a quote needs in one conversation, prices it from your rate cards, answers "where is my shipment" from your tracking data, and routes delays, damage and customs holds to the people who resolve them.
A quote request arrives as "how much to send two pallets to Germany". The desk writes back for the dimensions, the weight, the postcode, whether there is a tail-lift. Two days and four emails later the customer has three other quotes. Meanwhile half the inbox is customers asking where a shipment is, a question the tracking system could answer if anyone had time to look.
This page describes a workflow we propose to build as a custom project. It does not exist as software yet. It would reuse the question-by-question intake from our lead qualification demonstration, the exact arithmetic from our invoice demonstration and the record lookup from our support demonstration. Rate-card pricing, tracking connections and exception handling are not built.
Six jobs it carries through

- Requests for a discount
- Sent to the pricing desk with the inputs
Shipment status
Answers tracking questions.
- Identity or reference checked

Routes problems to their owner.
- Delays, damage and shortages
- Customs and documentation holds
- Failed deliveries
- A case with the evidence
Quote follow-up
Follows up on open quotes.
- A reminder at your interval
- Questions answered from the quote
- Acceptance passed to booking
- Expired quotes closed
Where the Time Goes Now
Quotes that take days
Four emails to collect what one form could have asked.
Missing dimensions
The price is wrong because the weight was a guess.
Rates in a spreadsheet
Only two people know which surcharge applies.
Where is my shipment
The desk answers the same tracking question all day.
Exceptions found by the customer
A customs hold is discovered when the goods do not arrive.
Quotes nobody follows up
A price is sent and never mentioned again.
From the First Signal to the Record
An example of one case, in 6 steps. The same steps play in the picture at the top of this page.
Request arrives
A customer asks for a price to send two pallets from Manchester to Hamburg.
Inputs collected
The agent asks for dimensions, weight, goods type and whether a tail-lift is needed.
Priced
The current rate card for the lane is applied, with fuel surcharge and tail-lift as separate lines.
Sent
The quote goes out with its validity period, stored on the customer's record.
Status asked
A week later the customer asks where the shipment is. The tracking shows it held for customs papers.
Exception routed
A case goes to the customs team with the missing document named, and the customer is told.
Walk One Real Case Through It
Thirty minutes, one case from your own process. We map it against the workflow on this page and tell you plainly what can be reused from our demonstrations and what has to be built for your systems.
The Systems Around It
The systems named here are the kind this agent works with. Which ones it connects to in your case is settled in the scope.
Transport management
- Your TMS or freight software
Rate cards
- Lanes, surcharges and validity dates
Tracking
- Carrier and own-fleet events
CRM
- Customers, quotes and bookings
Customs
- Documents and holds, where you handle them
Channels
- your customer portal
Prices From Your Rate Cards, Status From Your Systems
Every quote the agent issues can be traced line by line to your current rate card and surcharge rules. Where no published rate applies, it does not estimate. It passes the request to your pricing desk with the inputs complete.
Tracking answers come from your systems at that moment. Liability for loss, damage or delay is governed by your terms and decided by your claims team.
- Complete inputs before pricing
- Line-by-line pricing from rate cards
- No quotes outside published rates
- Status read live
- Claims decided by people
- Validity stated on every quote
Straight Answers
Can it quote any shipment?
It quotes what your published rate cards cover. Dangerous goods, oversize loads, new lanes and discount requests go to your pricing desk with every input already collected, which is most of the delay removed.
How is this different from the order and delivery support agent?
That agent serves a shop's customers asking about a parcel. This one serves a logistics provider's own desk: it prices freight from rate cards and handles operational exceptions such as customs holds.
How is this different from the supply-chain and inventory agent?
Supply-chain looks at stock and suppliers and proposes replenishment. This agent handles individual shipments: quoting them, tracking them and routing their problems.
What exists today?
Not as software yet. This page describes a proposed workflow. It would reuse the question-by-question intake from our lead qualification demonstration, the exact arithmetic from our invoice demonstration and the record lookup from our support demonstration. Rate-card pricing, tracking connections and exception handling are not built. A project starts by mapping your process, then proving the first steps on test data before anything touches a live system.
Time Your Next Ten Quotes
From request to price. Count the emails spent collecting inputs. That is the part an agent removes first.
