Chats answered, enquiries kept
An agent for the conversations your Facebook Page receives.
An agent for the conversations your Facebook Page receives. It answers enquiries and support questions from information you approved, reads the order or booking the person is asking about, and passes the thread to your team with the details when a person is needed.
A Facebook Page collects every kind of message: a question about an advert, a complaint about a delivery, someone asking whether you are open on a holiday. Many arrive from an ad click and expect an answer in minutes. The person replying has the Page inbox open in one tab and the order system in another, and copies details between them by hand.
This page describes a workflow we propose to build as a custom project. It does not exist as software yet. It would reuse the conversation logic that runs in our WhatsApp and Instagram demonstrations, including the signature check and handover. The Messenger connection itself is not built.
From the First Signal to the Record
An example of one case, in 6 steps. The same steps play in the picture at the top of this page.
Message received
Someone messages your Page after seeing an advert. The message's signature is checked before it is read.
Context read
The advert reference tells the agent which product the question is about.
Question answered
"Does it come in a larger size?" is answered from your approved product information.
Record checked
"Where is the one I ordered last week?" needs proof first, then the order system is asked.
Problem logged
A damaged delivery becomes one ticket with the photos left for a person to review.
Handed over
Your team continues in the same thread, with the summary and the ticket in front of them.
Six jobs it carries through
Enquiry answers
Answers product and service questions from approved information.
- Reads the question as written
- Finds the approved answer and its source
- Says when there is no approved answer
- Offers a person when it cannot help
Ad and post context
Uses what the person came from.
- Reads the advert or post reference Meta provides
- Answers about that product first
- Records the source on the enquiry
- Ignores a reference it does not recognise
Order and booking lookup
Reads the record the question is about.
- Looks up by reference
- Asks for a proof you choose
- Reports only what the system holds
- Says when a record cannot be found
Support intake
Turns a problem into a ticket your team can act on.
- Collects what your team needs
- Creates one ticket per issue
- Tells the person what happens next
- Keeps the thread and the ticket linked
Lead capture
Records a sales enquiry with its owner.
- Asks your qualification questions
- Creates or updates one contact
- Assigns the owner your routing names
- Marks Messenger as the source
Handover with context
Gives the thread to a person.
- On request at any point
- When a system cannot be reached
- After turns without progress
- With a summary of what was said and done
What We Need to Scope This
- The process as it runs today, in a few lines.
- The systems it touches, for example messaging, orders and bookings, ticketing, CRM.
- Rough monthly volume, and who approves what.
Six Things That Slow This Down
Ad replies that go cold
A person taps an advert, asks a question and hears nothing until the next morning.
Support and sales in one inbox
A delivery complaint and a pricing question look the same in the Page inbox.
No view of the customer's record
The reply cannot mention the order because the inbox does not know it.
Replies outside the allowed time
Meta limits when a business may message, and late replies are refused.
Threads that restart
The person explains everything again each time a different team member answers.
Automation that hides the humans
Customers get stuck in a menu and cannot reach anyone.
The Systems Around It
The systems named here are the kind this agent works with. Which ones it connects to in your case is settled in the scope.
Messaging
- Messenger for your Facebook Page
- Meta app with messaging permission
Orders and bookings
- Your shop, booking or order system
Ticketing
- Zendesk
- Freshdesk
- or your help desk
CRM
- HubSpot
- Zoho
- Salesforce
- or a custom CRM
Knowledge
- Approved product information
- policies
- opening hours
Handover
- The Page inbox your team already uses
The Page's Rules and Yours Set the Limits
The agent works through Meta's official messaging interface for Pages, replies only when Meta's rules allow a business to message, and answers only from information you approved. Promotional messaging has its own rules and is outside this scope.
Account and order details are shared only after the proof you choose. A named team member can take any thread at any time, and the person is told when that happens.
- Replies only from approved information
- Official Meta interface only
- Proof before account details
- One ticket per issue
- A person reachable in every thread
- A record of every action
Straight Answers
The conversation logic is the same, and they can share one configuration. What differs is the channel: Messenger threads often start from an advert or a Page post, the person is known by a Page-scoped id, and Meta's rules for when a business may reply are specific to Messenger.
Yes in principle, since all three sit on one conversation core. Whether a customer's history should follow them across channels is a separate question, covered by the omnichannel conversation agent, because it depends on reliably knowing two accounts belong to one person.
A Facebook Page, a Meta app with the messaging permissions for that Page, and Meta's review where required. We read the current platform rules before a project starts, because the permitted reply windows and message types change.
Not as software yet. This page describes a proposed workflow. It would reuse the conversation logic that runs in our WhatsApp and Instagram demonstrations, including the signature check and handover. The Messenger connection itself is not built. A project starts by mapping your process, then proving the first steps on test data before anything touches a live system.
Show Us a Week of Page Messages
We will sort them into what an agent can answer, what needs your order system and what should always go to a person.
